Ambassadors of Belize and Paraguay Visit Taiwan to Promote Education and Sustainable Development Cooperation
Taipei, December 2025 —
A landmark international cooperation briefing, hosted by the Global International Education Exchange Alliance (GIEEMA), was held at Taiwan’s Legislative Yuan, welcoming the Ambassadors of Belize and Paraguay to Taiwan to present future collaboration opportunities.
This event marked the first-ever participation of an Eastern Taiwan civic and Indigenous organization in an international development and diplomatic-level briefing.
Mr. Cheng Lin-Jun-Chieh, Chairman of the Taitung Sustainable Ecological Agriculture Development Association, attended the meeting as a representative of Eastern Taiwan and Indigenous communities, bringing local voices into global dialogue.
The ambassadors outlined key areas for future cooperation with Taiwan, including education exchange, agricultural technology, renewable energy, digital education, and cultural sustainability.
Chairman Cheng emphasized that Indigenous communities hold vital knowledge in ecological stewardship and sustainable living. Through partnerships with Belize and Paraguay, community-based cooperation in agriculture, education, and youth exchange can create long-term, mutually beneficial outcomes.
This briefing symbolizes Taiwan’s growing role in global cooperation and represents a meaningful step toward Indigenous participation in international development.
